JELY Co-Founder Lydia Diaz Recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for her work in Digital Marketing

We’re excited to share a milestone for one of our very own! Lydia Diaz, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of JELY Marketing, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for her work in digital marketing.

For Lydia, the recognition reflects more than a decade spent working across SEO, paid advertising, website development, agency operations, analytics, and client strategy. For JELY, it also reinforces many of the principles we built our agency around: experience matters, transparency matters, and strong marketing requires a willingness to understand the business behind the campaign.

You can learn more about Lydia’s experience and role at JELY on our Meet the Team page.

What Is Marquis Who’s Who?

Marquis Who’s Who has been publishing professional biographical information since 1899, after the organization was established in 1898. Today, its publications cover professionals and leaders across a wide range of industries and fields.

Marquis considers factors including an individual’s position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence within their field when selecting people for its biographical volumes.

That history is part of what makes this recognition meaningful to us. This is an opportunity to reflect on the experience that shaped Lydia’s approach to marketing and, ultimately, the way JELY operates today.

More Than a Decade of Digital Marketing Experience

Lydia’s career has never fit neatly into one marketing discipline.

Her background spans search engine optimization, Google Ads, paid social, website development, graphic design, analytics, CRM integrations, automation, project management, and agency operations. Before JELY, she held positions ranging from Marketing Specialist and SEO Project Manager to Director of SEO and Chief Operating Officer.

That range has become an important part of how we think about marketing at JELY.

A ranking does not exist separately from the website it sends someone to. A Google Ads lead doesn’t mean much if no one follows up. A beautiful website is not accomplishing enough if potential customers cannot find it. Reporting is only useful if the business can understand what the numbers mean and use them to make a decision.

Marketing works better when someone is willing to connect those dots.

A Career Built Around SEO, Technology and Real Business Problems

While Lydia has worked across nearly every part of digital marketing, SEO and website strategy have remained at the center of her career.

One of the projects highlighted in her Marquis profile involved an urgent care organization in California that expanded from four locations to 44 over a five-year period. Lydia worked on an SEO strategy that supported the organization’s growing footprint through location-focused digital properties while maintaining the broader brand presence. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she also worked with the team navigating advertising restrictions surrounding COVID testing and vaccination campaigns.

These challenges require understanding how technology, search behavior, advertising platforms, business operations, and customer needs interact.

That same thinking drives our SEO services at JELY Marketing today. SEO is not treated as a checklist of keywords and monthly blogs. We look at the entire search experience, including technical performance, content, authority, local visibility, conversions, analytics, and increasingly, how brands are being discovered through AI-assisted search.

Why This Recognition Matters to JELY

JELY was intentionally built differently from the high-volume agency model Lydia and Jess experienced earlier in their careers. We want to know what our clients sell, which services make them money, how leads are handled after they arrive, what makes their customers choose them, and where their business is trying to go next.

Marketing platforms give us more data and automation than ever before, but marketing is still ultimately about people. Someone has to interpret the numbers, understand why a customer makes a decision, ask the right questions, and recognize when the strategy needs to change.

That is why our team combines technical expertise with hands-on strategy rather than simply relying on platforms to make decisions for us.

Transparency and Education Are Part of the Job

One detail from Lydia’s Marquis feature reflects how we operate at JELY including her commitment to transparency and educating clients about their marketing. The profile specifically notes her focus on maintaining direct communication between clients and the professionals managing their campaigns.

Clients should not have to blindly trust their agency.

They should understand what is being worked on, why it matters, what the data is telling us, and what comes next.

We have written before about the importance of clear reporting, meaningful KPIs, proactive communication, and treating an agency relationship like a partnership rather than another monthly retainer. Our guide on how to evaluate whether your marketing agency is actually working goes deeper into those standards.

Those expectations apply to us too.

What Comes Next for Lydia and JELY Marketing?

The digital marketing industry changes constantly. Search is evolving alongside AI. Advertising platforms are automating more decisions. Customer journeys are becoming harder to attribute to a single channel. Businesses need websites, CRM systems, analytics, advertising, content, and internal processes to work together more closely than they did even a few years ago.

That is the kind of problem we enjoy solving.

Lydia’s Marquis profile notes that her future plans include continuing to grow JELY while maintaining close client relationships and expanding the team with specialists who share the agency’s emphasis on expertise and transparency.

We want to grow thoughtfully, work with businesses we believe in, bring talented people into the team, and keep doing marketing in a way that makes both us and our clients proud of the partnership.

Congratulations, Lydia

We’re proud to see Lydia’s work recognized by Marquis Who’s Who, but we’re even more excited about what that experience continues to bring to JELY and the businesses we work with every day.
